Suggested Tattoo Aftercare:

  • Remove bandage after 1 hour, and using fingertips gently wash with a liquid antibacterial soap (such as Dial). Pat dry with a clean towel and apply a THIN layer of ointment to tattoo (preferrably Aquaphore or A&D Ointment)
  • For the first 3-4 days, wash at least 1-2x's per day, applying THIN layers of ointment after every wash and 2-3x's throughout the day.
  • After 3-4 days of using ointment, stop use and switch to applying a Fragrance Free Lotion (Curel, Lubriderm, or Aveeno) 3-4x's a day until the tattoo is healed.
  • The tattoo will take 2-3 weeks to heal.
aftercare

During that time:

  • Do NOT re-bandage tattoo
  • Do NOT use any other ointment (antibiotic, neosporin, etc) than what is directed here or by your tattoo artist
  • Do NOT rub, pick, or scratch at tattoo while it is healing
  • Do NOT expose tattoo to sunlight or any type of tanning until it is healed
  • Do NOT soak tattoo in any type of water (tub, pool, swimming, jacuzzi) until it is healed
